Trevor features some of the best lawn types to plant in the garden. He also provides information on how to keep them growing.

Feature Plant: Buffalo Grass

• Dark green foliage, rich in colour.
• Robust.
• Carpet/Running grass ? spreads across the surface.

Feature Plant: Couch Marathon Grass

• Fine leaved.
• Beautiful for manicured gardens.
• Carpet/Running grass ? spreads across the surface.
• To improve an existing lawn, over-sew some seeds.
• Spreading some seeds over the top and rake them in, then water them in.

Feature Plant: Kikuya Grass

• Originates from South Africa.
• Handles hot and dry conditions.
• Basically needs no extra water once established.
• Carpet/Running grass ? spreads across the surface.
• To improve an existing lawn, over-sew some seeds.
• Spread over the top in autumn, and the grass will spread throughout the winter months.
